OUR STORY
THE COUNTRY CORNER SHOP is the store front for THE COUNTRY PEROGY SHOP. Why have a different name you wonder....it was required in order to qualify for certain permits and so one business became two.
The Country Corner Shop stocks all the different varieties of perogies we make. We also like to support local and so we have a variety of local made foods in our store front.
The Country Perogy Shop started out in 1981 with a different name and owner many many years ago. In 1988 Tim & Brenda Penner bought the business and called it The Country Perogy Shop. Later their son-in-law and daughter, Marshall & Christianne Toews bought it, in 2014 a cousin to Christianne, Don Penner and his wife Dorothy bought the perogy shop.

We are a cozy cafe located in The Country Corner Shop, serving up delicious breakfast, lunch. Our menu features a variety of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and we partner with Stone City Roasters to bring you our specialty coffees. Come in and relax in our warm and inviting atmosphere, or grab a meal to go or dine-in.
